Is Claritin D different than Allegra D?

I was just wondering how different this medicine is from each other. I recently went to the doctors over ear trouble, and was given Allegra D for allergies. Im on the last day of taking it and my allergies and my ears are still the same. So, would it be worth the money to get Claritin D? or would it be about the same?
