Speaker distortion when radio turned all the way up.?

i have a kenwood excelon hooked up to an alpine mrp-f240 for the four front speakers. infinity kappa series in the front and some other aftermarket speaker in the back. when i turn the volume over 30, 35 being the max, the speaker sound distort. what is it? the wire? or the amp and speaker don't match?
