Is this a good surfboard for a beginner?

Both look to be good beginner boards. The soft top is probably a good addition as well, however it might become deteriorated over a period of time, so remember to take good care of it! In what I can see from the two links you provided, the second board (pink, Roxy) would probably be your best bet, just because that extra height adds a little more width and float to the board. There could be external problems with them if they are used, but other wise I think the Roxy would work better for you. Have Fun!!
