Does anyone watch the show Hoarders? At what point is it?

considered hoarding as opposed to being lazy. I can understand that someone who can't throw things away so they pile up and eventually take over is a hoarder....but how is the rotting food, animal poop- sometimes dead animals called hoarding instead of being a lazy slob?
