Do i need a cover letter for a resume that Im bringing to a vet school interview?

I need to bring a clinical resume to a vet school interview tomorrow. They already know who I am, so do I need a cover letter with it??? I do not have one made up and Im not sure if its better to not have one or to have one that I hastily made up at the last minute!!
