Need some Advice asap!?

So I dated this one guy for 2 years and he had become physically abusive about a year and 4 months into the relationship there had always been a little bit of a control issue with him. Anyways he never had any money or anything so he always took mine i liked being with him until he started hitting on me and going out with his friends and making it all about him..So I met this new guy who is now my boifriend and he is amazing for the most part except i dont thnk he is 100% over his ex but thats ok bc he is working on it. anyways the last few days my ex-boifriend has been hittin my phone up talking about he has some money to give me and he has changed and he is signed with a record company and etc. talkin about he wana take care of me and pay all my bills and etc. and that he would love to just go to dinner..... I dont want to because I would never disrespect my boifriend like that plus I dont think it would end nicely....So i blocked his phone number... im just wondering if i am doing the right thing?? I just dont want to look stupid in the end.. I just no i went through so much with him..and my new man might not have the money like my ex has now but he does make me happy for the most part.... what should i do help plz
