A question about religion... focused on Christianity...?

The reason the only way to reach God is through Jesus is because Jesus came to be the last and perfect sacrifice for our sins. The sins of the world were laid upon him but you have to accept His sacrifice or you can't be cleansed of your sins. If you are not cleansed of your sins, then you cannot be in the presence of God. We should never worship idols or man made images. Not even if they are statues of Jesus.
